Medium is a specific kind of artistic technique or means of expression as determined by the materials used or the creative methods involved. In Mini Monets, students will be encouraged to explore the mediums in each project through limited teacher involvement.
Projects are created using:
Chalk Pastels
Charcoal
Collage Paper
Colored Pencils
Conte
Markers
Tempera Paint
Watercolors
Clay

Scholastic and Accelerated Reader books will be used within the class to inspire creative expression. Literature and art are closely related and these classes will encourage this relationship. With advancements in computer technology, we will be able to view videos of artists working and even have virtual tours through some of the world’s best museums.
