Mini Monets

After our visit to Giverny through the eyes of Claude Monet, we experimented with Mixed Media paintings. First, we painted and collaged monochromatic lions with Franz Marc before talking about the surrealist images in Marc Chagall’s painting, “I and the Village.” We created paintings topped with colored pencils and/oil pastels as we illustrated our own favorite memories or activities. I managed to squeeze in one  printing project showing how an ice cream cone has an unlimited capacity for ice cream after talking Pop Art with Andy Warhol. Now, on to Clay and Sculpture!!
